More Meteorites

A really l - o - n - g time ago, I wrote about meteorites. "N" of GAIN took his scout troop to a place he liked at Ledges State Park last weekend, and told me that he wanted to return with the magnets because he was sure that there were "rich pickin's" for meteorites there. He was right, as the picture shows. We didn't make it far enough into the park to reach his targeted area because of the rain. The younger three kids swept their magnets through one particularly sandy place close to the entrance of the park before the rain started.

If you are in the area, you should attempt the very cool earthcache that Azrag has in the park, or the very tempting geocache that snifferhound placed by Lost Lake. Being there was very cool today because we had the place almost to ourselves. I love Monday field trips. I hope to get back to get the caches some day.
